On Saturday August 31, 2013 Love Is The Answer’s Annual General Meeting took place in Canada at 10am Pacific time/8pm Ugandan time. In attendance (in person and via skype) were six LITA Board Members and ten guests, both in Ladner and the Kootenays in B.C. and Mbale, Uganda.
It was an awesome meeting.. full of information, ideas, laughter and heartfelt sharing that even resulted in sweet and heartfull tears of Love. Speeches were presented by all the Mbale guests who included: the Directors of both ACIO – Aids Concern Integrated Organization Child Care Centre and CCDO – Community Child Development Orphanage, three Senior 1 (Grade 8) students LITA donors are supporting with school fees, and the head girl and head boy from ACIO.
Chairing the meeting in BC was Eilis, LITA’s Secretary, where a financial report was given by Katherine, LITA’s Treasurer. Catherine, LITA’s President, was on the Ugandan side of the skype screen and presented her President’s Report, in the form of LITA’s 2012 Annual Report (for the fiscal year that completed end February 2013).
